What Halo needs first
Halo items are already set up: item groups and asset types, recurring items versus serialised items, and revenue accounts. Salesbuildr is connected to the Halo demo tenant in the recording.
Eleven recordings. Each one is a single Halo billing pattern, and it shows the Halo record an approved Salesbuildr quote produces for that pattern.
The patterns are managed services, monthly licences, time and materials, fixed-price implementation, a project deposit, milestone billing, yearly renewals, a retainer, hardware, distributor licences, and a white-label managed user bundle.
These recordings use a Halo demo tenant and test data. They are not a customer production environment. The sync overview, from quote to sales order, is separate from these eleven workflows. Halo quoting stays on the Halo integration page.
Each link opens that workflow on this page. Nothing plays until you start the video.
Halo items are already set up: item groups and asset types, recurring items versus serialised items, and revenue accounts. Salesbuildr is connected to the Halo demo tenant in the recording.
An approved quote in Salesbuildr produces the Halo record for that pattern. Depending on the workflow, that record is a contract, a sales order, a project, a purchase order, a recurring invoice, or a draft invoice.
This short recording is not one of the eleven quote-to-invoice workflows. It shows a quote sent from Salesbuildr as a Halo quotation, the status update when the client accepts, and Create sales order from the approved quote. It stays on the Halo integration page.
Play starts when you choose a video. The order below is the workflow order.
In this recording, an approved Salesbuildr quote for a managed services monthly plan creates a Halo contract.
In this recording, monthly licences go from an approved Salesbuildr quote to a Halo sales order, then to a monthly recurring invoice.
In this recording, an approved Salesbuildr quote for hourly time and materials creates a Halo project. Time is logged against that project, and a draft invoice is created from Ready for Invoicing.
In this recording, an approved Salesbuildr quote for a fixed-price implementation creates a Halo project from a template, then an invoice sales order.
In this recording, a project deposit creates a draft invoice for a percentage of one line. The example used is 30%.
In this recording, a completed milestone on a project is invoiced by its value.
In this recording, a yearly renewal creates a yearly recurring invoice billed in advance.
In this recording, prepaid retainer hours create a Halo managed-services contract, and the hours are drawn down from that prepayment.
In this recording, hardware goes from an approved Salesbuildr quote to a sales order, then a distributor purchase order, then a draft invoice.
In this recording, distributor licences follow the commitment term on the quote. Three term variants are shown, and each one produces a recurring invoice.
In this recording, the customer invoice shows the white-label managed user package only. Add-ons are set to track cost only on Ready for Invoicing. An agreement wrapper is optional.
