Scope and notes: For current Salesbuildr plans, see pricing. For Salesbuildr, whitespace discovery is the Whitespace module; Storefront is a Premium add-on; “Native Autotask / ConnectWise / Halo sync*” differs per record (see PSA sync); Stripe payments run on Storefront only, not on a regular quote; recurring quote lines come from PSA recurring services and contracts.

*PSA sync is shown as a native integration. What syncs, in which direction and how fast differs per record and per PSA, so validate the records you need in a demo.

API domain lists are in the CSV download. ConnectWise CPQ developer documentation requires a login. Plan limits and read versus write access vary.

Why that depth matters

  • Real-time company and contact sync. Reps quote against the right customer and contact without re-keying or waiting for a 15-minute sync.
  • The quote drives the opportunity. The PSA stage stays with the quote, so nobody updates the opportunity by hand after they send it or win it.
  • The quote writes the ticket, the Halo sales order and the contract lines. No retyping after the deal is won, and no missed or mistyped billing lines.
  • PSA contracts read back in. Whitespace shows what each client already has, so upsell, cross-sell and renewal proposals start from accurate contract data instead of spreadsheets.
  • Storefront. Clients order standard items themselves without a rep building a quote. It is a Premium add-on, and Stripe payments run on Storefront only.

When another tool fits better

  • ScopeStack if you need to push a full PSA project, with phases, tasks and sub-tasks, into Autotask, ConnectWise or Halo. Salesbuildr does not document that.
  • Quoter or Zomentum if you run Syncro or Kaseya BMS. Salesbuildr documents Autotask, ConnectWise and Halo, one PSA at a time.
  • QuoteWerks goes further on ConnectWise. From the desktop app, on save, it can create projects, agreements, sales orders, service tickets, purchase orders and activities.

Checked against each vendor's public docs on 31 October 2026.

BEST FIT

Best-fit summary

When each tool tends to fit, and what to check before you buy. Based on the public pages behind the matrix. Not a ranking.

ToolTends to fit whenCheck before you buy
SalesbuildrYou want one flow from the quote to the PSA opportunity, the ticket or Halo sales order, and the contract line, so the won deal is not retyped and billing lines are not missed, with Whitespace starting from the PSA contract and a client storefront so clients can order standard items themselves.Storefront and Prospecting are paid add-ons, whitespace is on Advanced and up, and one tenant connects to one PSA.
ZomentumYou want a strong proposal and payment experience and flexibility beyond MSPs.API access and approval rules need the Growth plan. Multi-currency is announced, not available yet. Autotask and ConnectWise sync every 15 minutes unless Real-Time Sync is on.
QuoteWerksYou need mature procurement and quoting, BI-friendly OData, or already run QuoteWerks Desktop.Whether you are buying Web or Desktop.
Quoter (ScalePad)You already use ScalePad Lifecycle Manager or want agent-ready quoting APIs, and quote-to-cash is the main job.The PSA records you need, in a demo.
ScopeStackThe sale is a complex services engagement with scoping and statements of work.It is services CPQ, not a hardware or distributor product basket.
ITQuoterYou want mature quote-to-cash and accept vendor-assisted API onboarding. No self-serve public OpenAPI catalog was found on public pages.
ConnectWise CPQ (Sell)You standardise on ConnectWise PSA and want quoting from the same vendor.Halo, more than one PSA, or a named storefront outside ConnectWise.
Kaseya Quote ManagerStorefront and commerce in the Kaseya suite matter most. Its public API is read-only, and Halo support was not found on public pages.

Best MSP quoting software for Autotask, ConnectWise and Halo

Autotask: all eight tools in the matrix list Autotask support. See the Autotask comparison.

ConnectWise: all eight tools list ConnectWise PSA support, and ConnectWise CPQ is the option from the same vendor. Salesbuildr syncs opportunities for mapped stages, and you create the ConnectWise agreement from the approved quote, so nobody retypes the order and billing lines are not missed or mistyped. See Salesbuildr for ConnectWise.

Halo: Salesbuildr, Zomentum, QuoteWerks, Quoter, ScopeStack and ITQuoter list Halo. We did not find it for ConnectWise CPQ or Kaseya Quote Manager. See Salesbuildr for Halo.

AUTOTASK

MSP quoting software for Autotask: what each tool does in Autotask

From signed quote to Autotask ticket and contract, with no retyping

  • Quote from your Autotask catalog at distributor pricing. Prices come from catalog, pricing books and feeds, so nobody checks each price by hand.
  • The client accepts and e-signs online; the Autotask opportunity and quote update with every line item visible. No one retypes the deal.
  • From the approved quote you click Create ticket in Autotask. With procurement on, placing the distributor order creates the purchase order in Autotask.
  • Recurring services go into a new or existing Autotask recurring service contract. Billing lines are not missed or mistyped.
  • Company and contact changes arrive by webhook, usually within 1 to 2 minutes. Reps quote against the right customer.
  • Approval rules stop a quote with the wrong discount or margin before it goes out. Fewer errors reach the client.

ScopeStack fits if you push a full PSA project into Autotask.

Good to know before you switch

  • Every product category needs an Autotask billing code.
  • Autotask Service Bundles don't sync; rebuild them as Salesbuildr bundles.
  • Autotask has no opportunity webhooks, so opportunity changes made in Autotask are pulled every 10 minutes.
  • Moving from Kaseya Quote Manager: Salesbuildr imports your catalog and can run next to your current tool until the team has moved.
  • Whitespace (reads Autotask contracts) is Advanced plan and up; Storefront is a Premium add-on.

What to validate before you choose

The full list, with a demo script, is in how to choose MSP quoting software: a buyer’s checklist.

Ask each vendor to demonstrate the exact PSA objects, distributor price refresh, approval path, recurring-line behavior, storefront experience, and payment step your team needs. For the Salesbuildr workflow, compare the quoting workflow, bundles and PSA sync, and Storefront alongside your commercial requirements.
